Epsom Derby Racing Results
While the Belmont Stakes organizers were gearing up for one of the biggest racing events on the horse racing calendar, the second day of the Epsom Derby, also referred to as the Epsom Derby Festival, was well underway. With a full day of racing splendor on Friday the 6th of June, known as Ladies Day, and a jam packed schedule for Derby Day on Saturday the 7th of June, the Epsom Downs Racecourse was in high spirits, with thousands of spectators who came out in support of the Epsom Derby Festival and their favorite horses.

Deweycheatumnhowe Shines Again
Deweycheatnumnhowe is a magnificent and undefeated colt in the harness racing industry. He was born on 12 April 2005 out of Trolley Square and sired by Muscles Yankee. This exceptional standardbred horse has gone from strength to strength within his horse racing career and on Tuesday, 3 June 2008, he once again showed off his spectacular talent when he won his qualifying race at The Meadowlands in his three year old debut. With his three year old campaign starting on a win, fans will be watching him very closely to see if he will be able to end this year on the same high note as in 2007.

Everyone has been waiting anxiously for 7 June 2008 and the running of the 140th Belmont Stakes. With more than thirty years of harness racing experience, Bill Zendt is a driver and trainer who has enjoyed abundant success at The Meadows. On Tuesday, 3 June 2008, he won the 3000th racing event of his career and looks back on many fond memories. With Fudgjoe crossing the finish line in winning position, it was not only a moment of victory for Bill Zendt but an achievement and joy that was shared by The Meadows.
