Description:

Since 1998 the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic has been taking place as a Grade 1 race normally run in the spring.

This all American horse race is currently run over a fair distance of about one-eighth miles and is open to all horses that are three years old or older.


Originally the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic was known as the ‘Early Times Turf Classic Stakes’, until Woodford Reserve became the sponsor of the race. Today it stands with a purse of half million dollars.
