From the 20th to the 25th of October 2009, the Verizon Centre in Washington, will come alive with equestrian action, as more than six hundred horses and their riders get ready for their respective events in the different disciplines. Spectators will be able to enjoy events such as dressage, show jumping, barrel races and classic equitation, as the Washington International Horse Show is known for combining serious competitive events, with the less formal and fun disciplines. The total prize money for this years’ event is estimated at more than four hundred thousand dollars.
Over and above thrilling horse show competition action, visitors to the show can look forward to a variety of entertainment and over sixty vendors, selling everything from jewelry and crafts, to unique saddlery and riding equipment.
