The British Open Show Jumping Championships will display 30 of the best international riders with 10 making up the top ten British riders for 2008.
With a total prize fund of over £150,000, this prestigious event will see riders competing in what is acknowledged as the richest single class to be competed in British show jumping. With just four days in which to compete, riders will be displaying their talents in front of hundreds of visitors in the attempt to claim the title of British Open Champion 2008, a title currently held by Jessica Kurten.
The 2008 British Riders to take note of at the British Open Show Jumping Championship are as follows: John Whitaker MBE, Micheal Whitaker, Nick Skelton, Robert Whitaker, Tim Stockdale, Ellen Whitaker, William Whitaker, Robert Smith, William Funnell and David McPherson.
Included with the top ten British riders will be a further two British riders who will form the ‘wild cards’, and will be selected from the Addington Classic, having come in 1st and 2nd place and will be announced just after the Addington Classic that takes place in March.
