Hello, everyone! I'm glad to be a new member here. I live in the beautiful state of Virginia, where unfortunately we don't have much horse racing. We have only one track, Colonial Downs, which is new and small for now, and several hours from where I live.
I was able to go to Churchill Downs to see my very first Derby in 2005, the year it was hit by a near-hurricane. I was in the infield, pelted by rain, high winds, and even hail. We slogged around the rest of the day in ankle-deep water. Yuck.
For those interested, I run an online fantasy horse racing league/game called Photo Finish, which I've been running since 2002. (www.photo-finish.org) We have players from all over the world, and I'd love to have more.
I've loved horses since I was a child, but never have had the opportunity to own one of my own. Someday I'd like to buy part ownership in a race horse.
