San Joaquin Fair in Northern California's Stockton is amongst the states top county fairs. With plenty of fun for the entire family, San Joaquin County Fair features horse racing, exhibits, concerts and delicious food. Held every June/July, the fair is well attended by racegoers, agriculturists and families from all around the state.

Stockton's horse racing track is a 1 mile oval dirt track along with two chutes, one measuring ¾ mile, the other 1 ¼ mile. The breadth of the track is 80 feet and the surface is sandy loam. From the last turn to the finish line is a distance of 1 003 feet. Races are run from Wednesday through to Sunday and the post times are as follows: Daily – 12:45 pm and Fridays – 3:15 pm. Aside from the seating of the Horse Racing Grandstand, there are box seats which can be hired out. San Joaquin County Fair offers exquisite facilities for racegoers. The 24 000 square foot Winners Gaming and Sports Emporium is a luxury establishment for horse racing fans to view and wager on exciting races in luxury. Sufficient space is available for 750 people in the prestigious club. Night racing can be viewed at Winners. Featured races are harness racing and quarter horse racing from Cal Expo and Los Alamitos. Wagering is typically done in the San Joaquin Room. Here you will discover high-tech facilities including more than 90 25” televisions and 6 large screens. Refreshments and meals can be ordered and the outdoor patio area also has monitors in addition to self-service betting machines. The Champions Room is more private with a bar and televisions at each table. There are also 7 large screens and a patio for smokers.

San Joaquin County Fair provides avid horse racing enthusiasts with satellite coverage of the country's greatest races. Patrons can view and bet on renowned races such as the Belmont Stakes, Breeders' Cup, Preakness Stakes and Kentucky Derby. Horse racing is not the only sport on offer. Visitors can also watch basketball, baseball, football and other sports from around the world. That means guests can bet on their favorite steeds whilst enjoying their favorite game.
