Today Mohawk Raceway's 7/8 mile oval features a homestretch of 1095 feet with a breadth of 85 feet. The racetrack base is crushed limestone with a cushion of traprock. Ten starters can be accommodated behind the gate. Mohawk's harness racing calendar runs from June through to October with a number of thrilling races scheduled. Amongst the most popular races are the Canadian Pacing Derby, Campbellville Trot, Milton Stakes, Harvest Stakes, Metro Pace, Canadian Trotting Classic and Maple Leaf Trot. Races are held 5 nights of the week with dark Wednesdays and Sundays. Post time is typically 7:40 pm. The record for the fastest mile of 1:48.1 at Mohawk Raceway was set by BuckeyeOne.
