Wyoming Racetracks
Located in the Western United States, Wyoming features the majestic Rocky Mountain West range, while the eastern region of the State boasts the wide open spaces of the High Plains. With the nickname of the "Cowboy State" it is no surprise that horse-related activities are popular in Wyoming and the State's Wyoming Downs horse racing track, located in Evaston, is a popular venue for live racing during the summer season (July to August) and offers simulcast racing and wagering throughout the year.
The rules of the Wyoming Pari-Mutuel Commission are put into place in the best interests of all involved in the horse racing industry of Wyoming, and appointed officials attend each meet to ensure compliance. The Wyoming Pari-Mutuel Commission is a self-supporting organization which has as its primary goals the health, safety and welfare of both human and equine participants in licensed events, while at the same time ensuring the protection of the wagering public.
