Jet West breaks his maiden at Bay Meadows

Jet West broke his maiden by six lengths in his second start, a six-furlong race for 2-year-olds in October 2003. The Cal-bred went on to win the 2005 California Cup Sprint and place in six stakes, including the 2006 Grade 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen. The runner-up, Pt's Grey Eagle, took the following year's Grade 1 Ancient Title, while the third-place finisher, Kilgowan, won the 2004 Grade 3 El Camino Real Derby.
