The Sligo Races, 11 July 2010
The racetrack in County Sligo, Ireland, is one of the most beautiful in the world. Imagine a track with mountains and pine trees in the background and muscular horses racing their hearts out in the foreground. This video shows the 11 July 2010 race program. In all but the last race, the horses run more than two miles and jump hurdles, too, on a wet track. There were no falls. It's an incredible experience to be at a track where the horses are close enough to touch and everyone seems to bet, even children.
