Faltando pocas vueltas para el final,repentinamente aparece una bandera amarilla que cambiara el rumbo de la carrera,desmoronandose toda posibilidad del hendrick motorsports de ganar la competencia,se vieron afectados en el incidente jonhson y gordon...muchos se quedaron sin combustible y la carrera terminara con un gren-white-cheker.
