John Henry (March 9, 1975 -- October 8, 2007) was an American Thoroughbred race horse who had 39 wins, with $6591860 in earnings. He was twice voted the Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year in 1981 and 1984, with his 1981 selection is the only one whereby the victor received all votes cast for that award. John Henry was also listed as #23 - Top 100 US Racehorses of the 20th Century.

Wayward Lad, an English Thoroughbred racehorse foaled in 1975, was one of the "Dickinson five". (Michael Dickinson trained all the horses which took the first five places at the 1983 Cheltenham Gold Cup). Here he is winning the 1985 King George VI Chase at Kempton. Jockey Graham Bradley rode the ten year old horse to victory.

The Irish-trained Davy Lad, who had won the Sun Alliance Hurdle in 1975 went on to a brilliant win at the 1977 Cheltenham Gold Cup. The horse was ridden by jockey Dessie Hughes, trained by Mick O'Toole and owned by Anne-Marie McGowan.
