From Edison films catalog: The finish and weighing out of a running race with nine starters, won by famous Clifford, Sloane up. Sheepshead Bay Race Track was an American thoroughbred horse racing facility built on the site of the Coney Island Jockey Club at Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Old railroad track diagrams for the Long Island Railroad spur that served both the club and the racetrack show the entrance to the club was located on the east side of Ocean Avenue between Avenues X and Y. The racetrack was built by a group of prominent businessmen from the New York City area who formed the Coney Island Jockey Club in 1880.
