This ballad was written by singer, songwriter Joe Keene. He was inspired to write this song after THE LEGENDARY GELDING JOHN HENRY won The Arlington Million a second time in 1984. These cds are for sale directly from Joe Keene. If you pause the video, you can read the contact info for Mr. Keene, either via email or by phone. He would love to hear your John Henry stories, too. There are only TWO VERSES to prevent downloading. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the John Henry Memorial Fund in Lexington, Kentucky.
