Teaching Storm to barrel race and pole bend ! He's doing pretty good with em. He's just turned 6 and I've only walked him through the patterns a couple times. Proud of my boy (: tell me what y'all think !

Last Barrel race of the Winter series! [00:39]
My boy did awesome! I love him! I think we are understanding each other more and listening to each other more. But anyways, the race... of course it started raining hard before our real race, so that's why I took the turns wide. I wanted to be safe since a lot of the pro barrel racers were slipping and knocking barrels. I figured my greeny should take them a bit wide! haha! but we did a lot better then the other two races. We always have problems with the first because Diamond is a pretty "hot" horse, so he gets all worked up going to the first barrel and makes them really wide! We ran a 22 something! haha! but pretty good since I've only been training him on barrel for a few months. I love my greeny is worth everything we have to go through! ....tho... it would be nice if he was a little less hot..... hot! jk! He is the best horse ever!

Madison Merrill and her new horse, Hancock Cotton Candy. Running 3 runs Fri, Sat & Sun at the Jurassic Winter Classic, Glen Rose, TX. 1D Youth all three runs, Fell in 2D hole all three runs for Open 5D. Saturday Ran the 39th Best Time out of 638 entries. So proud of Madison. Only competing in her 2nd Big barrel race coming out of playdays.
