Long Run Wins William Hill King George VI Chase 26.12.2012 [07:48]
Horse Racing - Long Run wins second King George VI Chase. Long Run held off a spirited challenge from Captain Chris to win the King George VI Chase for the second time in two years at Kempton. The Nicky Henderson trained horse looked set for a comfortable victory, having taken the lead a mile from the finishing post. But a late charge from Richard Johnson aboard Captain Chris saw him jump into the lead at the last hurdle only for Sam Waley-Cohen to produce as last ditch effort to over-haul his rival with two strides to go. "He was so brave," said Waley-Cohen, who also rode Long Run to victory in the delayed 2010 edition of the race and finished runner-up in 2011. "We wanted to take the sting out of everything else and I asked so much, but he was so brave. "This is his fifth year of competing at this level and he means an enormous amount to us. "That was racing at its best to my mind, that's why we do it. I can't put it into words -- it's an honour and a pleasure." Grand Crus finished third almost a mile back. "It was a brave call to go on when he did and it was the right call to make," Henderson said. "It was a battle out there today and not the best ground for any of them. He's young but has been doing everything right. "You would have to say last year was a disappointment but he's been running good races all the time."

Jeff Gordon Crash Turns Into A Massive Brawl [03:31]
With his No. 15 Toyota still smoking, Clint Bowyer sprinted from his car to the garage to confront Jeff Gordon, who dumped him with two laps remaining in Sunday's Advocare 500. Bowyer's team already was involved in a brawl before the driver attempted to run up into Gordon's No. 24 hauler, but was held back by NASCAR officials and other team members. The incident stemmed from contact between Bowyer and Gordon on Lap 305 when the No. 15 slid up into Gordon's No. 24 while both drivers were battling for fifth place. Gordon limped around the track for several laps before taking out Bowyer and collecting Joey Logano directly in front of Brad Keselowski, who took the points lead with his run at Phoenix International Raceway. "We got used up by Clint several times this year, and enough is enough," Gordon's crew chief Alan Gustafson said. "If you're going to mess with the bull, you're going to get the horns. "That's just ridiculous that a champion would act like that," Bowyer's team owner Michael Waltrip said. NASCAR red-flagged the event to clean up the track. After almost 15 minutes, the race resumed.
