New York Watch: Biloxi [01:40]
If not for a chance telephone call, owner John Fort of Peachtree Stable might have never purchased Biloxi, who overcame greenness to break his maiden on April 24 at Aqueduct Racetrack and become the eighth horse featured in the recently introduced New York Watch series. Prior to the 2008 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Fort made a trip to Taylor Made Farm to visually inspect horses in the farms consignment. After scouting 30 yearlings, Fort left the farm, only to remember he had never looked at a particular Tiznow colt. I called Duncan Taylor (at Taylor Made) and said, I didnt see the Tiznow, Fort said of the colt later named Biloxi, who was bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm. So I went back the next day and saw him. Fort wasnt overwhelmed by the yearlings catalogue page, but was impressed enough by the dark bays appearance to buy him for $350000. There is a lot of white on his page, said Fort, speaking by telephone from Ocala, Fla. You have to go back to the third dam to see any black-type. But this is a colt who is the picture of a thoroughbred. Hes a big, strapping, beautiful horse.

Read this please: - Just to start with... 2009 was a great show season for Dollie and myself. It was our first year showing and her first year on barrels and poles. As a few of you know, I started working her on barrels in late December of '08. Since taking her to our first show, I've become addicted to barrel racing and pole bending and so has Dollie. - That brings me up to my next topic. There is a slight chance that we will be competing in two series this year (RHCC and TSC). I may or may not take Dollie to a few other events later in the summer / fall. It just depends on our schedule and whatever else would bring up an issue in going. - That being said, If I do start running in two series, that would mean I'd be posting more videos more often but they would mainly be of our runs from the shows. I will still be posting music video type things like this like I ha

So you think you got riding figure out? [04:02]
This is for all the people out there who probably have never been near a horse in their entire lives but still feel they have the required knowledge to tell me that it isnt a sport, that it is girly and that only princess attitude little girls ride. I am sick and tired of it. first of all proper horsemanship involves getting extremely dirty, sweaty and smelly. second of all horses are a living creature therefore dangerous the same way a dog can bite and a cat can scratch a horse can kick, take off and trample regardless of whether you want it to happen or not. second of all riding is not a matter of sitting there and looking pretty, you have to work with the horse and perform a number of commands to guide the horse. you have to be quick and agile to respond to your horse in order to avoid accidents. the phrase ''a good rider falls off at least 7 times' is not there for show. it is because you do fall off, you do hurt yourself as the saying 'been there jumped that got the bruises to prove it' (printed on almost every horsey item ive seen) people get injured and some even die. i know people who have had broken arms and legs, even someone with a broken jaw. I myself have a broken nose, riped a muscle in my leg and a damaged back from being trampled on after a fall and being throw off into a gate (not the jump) If there are anymore question or doubt that horse riding is a dangerous sport and not for princess girly girls please post it in a comment and i will add it to this already long description.
