Southwest Reined Cowhorse Celebrity Spectacular [04:29]
The Southwest Reined Cowhorse Association held their 4th Annual Celebrity Spectacular June 2, 2012 at Lone Star Arena, in Stephenville, Texas. The event featured an Open Fence Work Competition, and competing local celebrities Turtle Powell, Jackie Hobbs and RL Chartier. Cowhorse professionals mounted these first-timers on great horses and after a really quick crash course, gave them the stage. The Professional Cutting Horse Trainer, RL Chartier won the celebrity show-down, but the WPRA World Champion Jackie Hobbs was pretty proud to have outscored the current PRCA World Champion Team Roper Turtle Powell.

NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED What.a.horse... Kauto Star was amazing today! I always said give him one more race before deciding if he should be retired and he proved all the doubters wrong today! I still think Long Run ran a blinder and he's the one to beat in the King George, but today old Kauto showed he is still one of the best around and deserves another crack at winning it for the fifth time! His 15th grade one win, at nearly 12 to destroy the calibre of horses he did today was something special, and the reception he got at Haydock was amazing. Bravo to Ruby Walsh who gave him a great ride as always,and Paul Nicholls is a brilliant trainer to have him so fit and well, it was just a great dau for racing-finally some good publicity. Now let's hope Denman can imitate his stablemate and destroy them in the Lexus ;) Hope you enjoy my little tribute.
