Marcos Ambrose won the Finger Lakes 355k at Watkins Glen International in one of the most dramatic, exciting road course finishes ever. Kyle Busch led at the white flag when Kyle Busch got into some oil on the track which is supposedly from the Bobby Labonte and slowed him down, Brad Keselowski couldn't slow down into the oil and got into the rear of Kyle Busch and spinning Kyle Busch. Then, Brad Keselowski and Marcos Ambrose raced to the checkered flag, beating and banging, running through the grass with Marcos Ambrose getting by Brad Keselowski and winning his 1st race of the season, 2nd victory at Watkins Glen and his 2nd career win in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Watkins Glen International.

El defensor de los colores del Stud Doña Licha, nacido en USA, derrotó por ¼ de cuerpo a Day Of Celebration (Flatter). Tercero a 3 ¾ cuerpos quedó Bucher (Keseff) y cuarto a 4 cuerpos lo hizo Sembrador (Olmodavor). La gran favorita Cruzada perdió su chance al partir en deficientes condiciones. El Hipódromo de Monterrico lució un lindo marco con las tribunas repletas de aficionados. La Dra. Marisol Espinoza, 1ra. Vicepresidente de la República, asistió al Coloso de Surco en representación del Excelentísimo Presidente Constitucional de la República, Sr. Ollanta Humala Tasso. Ella fue recibida por el Dr. Luis Razzeto Ríos, Presidente del JCP, quien estuvo acompañado por miembros de su Consejo Directivo.
