Jilly Willy 9.3.11 5th Race FL - WIN!.avi [01:17]
Jilly Willy WON the 5th race on Saturday, September 3rd, at Finger Lakes going 5 1/2 furlongs on the dirt. She broke well, sat off the leader and opened up turning for home. She won easy against this bunch and it is about time we got a win with all the trials and tribulations. Congratulations to all!! I will be at the Barn tomorrow morning to welcome her home and give her a big hug and some Champagne in her oatmeal!!!!!

CB ran a tough gritty 2nd in the 3rd race today at Beautiful Belmont Park. I thought we had it in the bag. Ramone was sitting sooooo chilly on her the whole time and once they turned for home Ramone gave her the signal and she turned it on. Unfortunately the 1 horse (the best horse in the race) came from out of it after we did all the dirty work for her by wearing down the leader and caught us just before the wire. Bruce said she came back just as strong after this layoff as the beginning of her campaign last year and that is always a good thing. Ramone said "Wow, she's back" when he got off her! She will get a lot out of this race and come back even better! The funny thing is not one of the TV handicappers gave her a mention ~ They'll learn! Traffic stopped on Henry Street because of the yelling and screaming emanating from the office! We had the door open! Maybe people passing by will catch on that this is the Greatest Game Outdoors!

In only the third start of his career, the Saint Liam colt galloped along a well-placed third for most of the race before moving out in the backstretch to take over the lead leaving the five-sixteenths pole and draw off for the win.
