Sr. Champ Onboard 8/20/12 - Stafford / Heat Race [02:20]
Onboard footage of the Sr. Champ Heat Race from Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut. I started last out of 8 karts for the Heat Race and was able to work my way up to 5th. I was catching Tom in the #51 kart (I had #51X), but kept getting challenged by Brandon in the #62 kart for the 5th spot. I was able to hold him off on the outside and remain 5th. I finished 5th. I would start 9th for the Feature Race.

Heavenisaracehorse puts in what has to be one of the most eye-catching debuts of the season over 1160m. He was slow out the gates and outpaced for most of the race finding himself with some 10 lengths to make up on the leaders heading to the 450m marker. From then on it was jaw-dropping stuff as he ripped through the field to go down only by a whisker to impressive black type performer Mogok's Desire. The rest of the field lay spread-eagled in the distance 4 and 6 lengths+ adrift. Congratulations to international owner Mr. Winston Chow who looks to have found another one here in SA with the ability to go on to greater things.
