Lil Red Day 2 Barrels [05:45]
Red's third day in the arena and second day on barrels. Just raw video of him getting to know the pattern. His leads aren't perfect yet and he's a little anxious to do things 'his way' but he is very willing and capable. We had walked and trotted through the pattern a few times the week before. I mostly worked on keeping his inside hip position correct and we over exagerated our pockets as he is still learning and tends to be more of a free running horse. Great horse way ahead of the game. Works and tracks cattle, getting gates, rides down the road, started on barrels. Winner on the track. $25000. No trades. 405.226.1507 Disclaimer: I do not own the music in this video. Rodeos on the reservation initiated around a "chicken-pull." Over time, this word got shortened to "ahóóhai," and rather than being named after chicken pulls it became the term for "rodeos" as rodeos got popular on the reservation. Also, some people will use the term "Naa'ahóóhai" or "Ahóóhai" for agricultural shows; tribal, county, or state fairs.
