Secretariat Belmont Stakes 1973 & extended coverage (HD Version - NEW!) [05:13]
This is Secretariat's historic 1973 Belmont Stakes victory. I uploaded the original video which is over 1 million hits 5 years ago. I can now rip at a much higher quality and I wanted to put the upgrade on Youtube for everyone to enjoy. :) Unfortunately the footage is from 1973 so it will never be the HD we now have come to enjoy, but this should look good on 27" screens or higher compared to the old one. What makes this video different from all other Belmont 1973 footage on youtube? Well, the elongated coverage of the race. It is fun to see the actual initial response to this race by the commentators, the crowd etc.

These are just SOME of the sights and sounds from the 2011 edition of the Virginia Derby, held on 16 July at the Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent County Virginia. Here you see Penny Chenery and Leeanne Ladin, along with the funny hat competitors and the end of the race itself, won by Air Support with Alex O. Solis in the irons. More to come tomorrow

SECRETARIAT: Preakness - Run Free [03:05]
Thanks to Ron Turcotte's masterpiece ride here, we truly get to see the greatness of SECRETARIAT! Mr. Turcotte knew he was sitting on a powerhouse, he knew the horses on the lead were trying to slow the pace around the first turn, he knew that Big Red was also well within himself as the horse was telling him, "Let's roll!" Mr. Turcotte eased SECRETARIAT to the outside and the rest is history. 1973 Preakness in record time with a hand ride and making a move around the first turn. Greatness!!!
