Kauto Star & Denman:|| The Kings Of Steeplechasing [02:53]
Please read if you have a chance :} This video does not do these magnificent horses justice in any way but I had to make something after watching Friday's gold cup. Kauto Star and Denman, stablemates trained by Paul Nicholls are two of the best steeplechasers since Arkle. Kauto Star, the bay French Bred has won basically everything including two Cheltenham Gold Cups, four King Georges, three Betfair Chases, two Tingle Creeks and many more besides. The massive liver chestnut Denman, bred in Ireland is also known as 'The Tank'. He won the RSA chase in 2007 before dethroning Kauto Star in the 2008 Gold cup. He has also won two amazing Hennessy gold cups under top weight, each time giving around two stone to the runners up. In six consecutive visits to the festival he's never finished out of the first two. Between them they've earned over 3 million pounds in prize money and their rivalry has captured the public's imagination more than any other since Mill House and Arkle. Both have had their problems, Denman underwent surgery for a heart problem after his 2008 gold cup win and subsequently it took him basically a whole season to recapture his old form (which he did spectacularly in the 2009 Hennessy). Kauto has been prone to making last fence blunders which occasionally have cost him races he otherwise would have won. As they've got older, many people had begun to question whether they retained their all conquering form, especially after Denman unseated Tony Mccoy in the 2010 ...

So, this is my new man! His name is Vertigo, aka Bates, he's a 16 year old, 16.2 OTTB. He's got quite the impressive record! His great granddad was Secretariat for startes, and Bates here wasn't too shabby a race horse in his day:) After racing he was then competed through intermediate! I hope to take him Prelim! We've already plannewd our move up to Training in April, so....maybe next season we'll be kickin it at Prelim!! This isn't edited obviously,I don't have very many clips of him yet, i know I know I need beating for it, but hey! I forgot lol! I promise, Ill have a proper video of me and him soon! Super Quercus rallies to take the 2001 Bay Meadows Handicap [01:13]
Super Quercus (Fr), a stakes winner in his native country, picked up his first graded stakes score following his triumph in the 2001 Grade 1 Hollywood Derby when he captured the 2001 Grade 3 Bay Meadows Handicap under Russell Baze. Trained by Bobby Frankel, the chestnut won the Grade 1 Hollywood Turf Cup in his next start.
