Ford Mustang GT CMC Racing - John Lingle [02:26]
My brother in law John Lingle earns his competitive license at Texas World Speedway. This was my first time there and it was a blast. Yes, I know the music is over the top.....I'll do a few others with better music.

Unsaddling after the Big Race at Belmont Park [01:00]
Here is a quick shot of Our Lake and Ludlow coming back from his first race. All the horses (except for the lucky winner who is headed to the Winner's Circle!) come back and meet their handlers. The Jockey dismounts and takes his tack and equipment with him to the scales to weigh in. He must weigh in with the same weight he was carrying before the race. After he weighs in then we approach him and get the needed feedback about the race and the horse's trip. In this case Jamie "the Rocket" Rodriguez was very excited about the way L&L ran. He said he was closing nicely at the end but got a bit tired. This may have been due to the very gooey yielding turf. He said next time we will see a great improvement because in his words "this horse is very competitive". That is great news to hear from the Jockey after a first race!

1998 Dubai World Cup - Silver Charm -vs- Swain [02:07]
In a dramatic finish, the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm nosed out Swain of Dubai to win the $4 million Dubai World Cup yesterday and double his career earnings. Ridden by the Hall of Famer Gary Stevens, the 4-year-old earned the $2.4 million first prize for his owners, Bob and Beverly Lewis, with a courageous rally. Silver Charm's previous earnings had totaled $2.2 million. Silver Charm, the prohibitive favorite, first repulsed strong challenges from Loup Sauvage of France and Malek, the surprise winner of the Santa Anita Handicap. Then, Swain came up and briefly grabbed the lead in the stretch. As the two pounded toward the finish line, Silver Charm fought back and barely edged in front. I knew it was going to be a competitive race, said Stevens, who rode Silver Charm shortly after guiding Annus Mirablis of Dubai to victory in the $500000 Dubai Duty Free race. He's the greatest horse I've ridden. I knew I had a great chance, but I knew they weren't going to give it away, Bob Baffert, Silver Charm's trainer, said. Silver Charm broke second from the gate and stayed behind another horse from the United States, Behrens, until the top of the stretch. He then took the lead, only to be challenged by Loup Sauvage and Malek. After putting them away, he faced the challenge of the hard-charging Swain. But Silver Charm prevailed in 2 minutes 9 2/5 seconds for the mile and a quarter. Loup Sauvage finished third, with Malek fourth. Race video donated by Jeff Mende..
