2012-12-04 Global One colt 'Global Vigil' relished the extra when going over 1600m for the first time to win impressively at Clairwood. Turning for home a few lengths off the leader he powered through to hit the front halfway down the straight and then stayed on to win well. Adding merit to the performance was that he made his run along the inside where the track conditions are markedly inferior to the middle/outside.

Too much wheelspin off the line after initial movement but not used to these conditions and I think when I start driving a road car next year I might have a better chance :) The right hand side of the grid all get away better as the track was a bit dryer up there but then as you will see its a balance of trying not to hit anyone as I was much quicker arounds turn 2,3,4,5 but with no gaps so have to keep lifting, it was very hard to pass without too much risk when the track is so unpredictable and when I didnt qualify nearer the front. Was a good race in the end and really enjoyed it.

Ok this was our first time using the sony goggle mount (strap was to lose on the helmet footage we didnt know till the end of the day) also it was our first time free lance shooting (no mounts just holding the cam) The video came out pretty cool I think. It was shot on october 23rd, 2012 at perris raceway in perris, CA. Beautiful day overal, and the riding conditions in SO CAL always are sweet in the fall and winter months. Enjoy and please comment. Camera settings: Helmet footage: 1080P @ 30fps 170 degree angle lense Ground/Handheld footage: 720P @ 60fps 170&120 degree angle lense We did some shots in 720 @ 120fps which came out great and i can upload those seperately.
