Even If You Cannot Hear My Voice:// RIP Rewilding [01:00]
Whipped this up in a couple of minutes, I didn't have a lot of footage but this isn't meant to be that kind of video, it's just a tribute to one of my favourite flat horses, Rewilding, who was sadly put down today after suffering a broken leg in the King George, won by Nathaniel (whose jockey, William Buick I have to say was very quick to send his condolences to connections of Rewilding after the race, in true sporting style). Luckily, Frankie Dettori walked away virtually unharmed, it was a horrible fall and things could have been so much worse for him :( He was a brilliant horse, third in the derby and a dual group 1 winner, who conquered the mighty So You Think at Royal Ascot in June. Thoughts go out all the connections of this wonderful horse, who had so much more to give. Tragedies like this are rare in flat racing and it's marred the win of the really progressive Nathaniel, who was a worthy winner of the race. I know there are more tragic things going in the world at the moment away from horse racing, but this is just my tribute to a great horse. It's just a very sad thing to have happened. RIP Beautiful! (Also I was going to include footage of the moment he broke down, but I couldn't do it, it's a horrible sight that I don't think anybody wants to see again)

If a horse can win all three grade 1 futurities then that horse's connections would be the first winner of the $4000000 All American Triple Crown Bonus, the richest in quarter horse racing.

Curlin is the 7-5 favorite and the 2007 Classic Champion. I respect Curlins ability on the track but I will look to beat him against this quality field. Curlin has never raced over a synthetic surface and betting him at 7-5 is not a good bet. Robert Frankel trained Champs Elysees (Ela-zay) enters with a morning line of 15-1 and ran well over the synthetic surface at the Santa Anita Handicap back in March. Trainer Robert Frankel entered this turf specialist here because the horse likes the track and trains well over Santa Anita. Jockey Alan Garcia is riding great so we have great connections in this one. I always play on 2 horses to win and I will look at another horse that loves the surface. Tiago is another horse that has had success over the synthetic surface. He had a great prep winning the Goodwood Grade 1 at Santa Anita a few weeks back. In 8 lifetime starts over the surface Tiago has 6 in the money finishes. Both Tiago and Champs Elysees (Ela-zay) have good closing kicks.
