I never particuarly liked horse racing, because of the cruelties envolved, however Secretariat seemed to love being in the spotlight, and most of all, winning. What a hero.

NOT a video made by me, I give full credit to animal aid. Uploaded for those 'horse lovers' that think racing is not cruel. Racing is animated roulette. It is nothing but a fast track to the slaughter house or to someone who doesn't love/care for them because they are so cheap after they have been worn out and battered by this 'sport'. Sporting participants have a choice. I see no horses having a choice in racing. I only see brutes. Any comments saying that racing 'ISN'T' cruel, WILL be deleted, so don't waste your time. I welcome any other comments so long as they are educated and in the interest of horses. ban the whip protest at a horse racing event [04:46]
here I take part in a ban the whip protest with a great group of people from animal liberation. our aim was to spread awareness amongst all the patrons attending the event, to just how barbaric and cruel this act of animal cruelty is on these magnificent creatures it has bin in the news a couple of times recently, because of the efforts of these fabulous people - hopefully it will be banned some time soon
