Citation (April 11, 1945--August 8, 1970) was the eighth American Triple Crown winner, and one of three major North American Thoroughbreds (along with Cigar and Zenyatta) to win at least 16 consecutive races in major stakes race competition. Neither the Kentucky Derby or Preakness winner made the starting gate for the Belmont Stakes, and it was the diminutive Jazil who capitalized. Final time: 2:27.86 Owner: Shadwell Stable Trainer: Kiaran McLaughlin Jockey: Fernando Jara

Body found at Kentucky Derby track [01:00]
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Police say they are investigating a body found in the stable area of Churchill Downs the morning after the Kentucky Derby as a homicide. But there is no connection to Kentucky Derby winner I'll Have Another. Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley also said Sunday the death didn't appear to have any association with Churchill Downs. That's the historic Louisville track that on Saturday saw a record attendance of more than 165000 for the 138th running of the Derby. Smiley says the body was found inside a barn just four barns away from where I'll Have Another was kept. The Derby winner and his trainers were busy with post-Derby media activities Sunday morning, with little talk of the activity at the barn about 150 yards away.
