Monet's Garden ||:GET WELL SOON:|| [02:03]
Please read if you can :) Just a really rubbish tribute to a wonderful horse. Monet's Garden, who turned 13 on New Year's day is one of my favourite horses due to his seemingly unending ability to stay at the top, but more than that because of his obvious love for what he does. This gallant old grey has won 17 from 32 starts in his career, winning the Old Roan Chase 3 times, the Ascot Chase twice along with a Melling Chase, Peterborough chase and a Liverpool Hurdle. His great athletic ability, combined with his flamboyant front running style and stunning grey coat endeared him to many people. Unfortunately, just a week or so after winning his third Old Roan Chase, Monet's Garden contracted a foot infection which spread to his hoof. He has since been retired and is critically ill, fighting for his life. We can only hope that he pulls through, and can have the long and happy retirement he deserves :) Anyways, this video was just my way of expressing how much he meant to me personally, after watching him race many times. His best days came at Aintree and Ascot-Aintree being where he won his 3 Old Roan Chases. I think it's time they erected a statue of him there, he deserves it! So yeah, I don't care if zero people read this or watch it, but fingers crossed Monet's Garden can make it. Get well soon old boy!

Zenyatta : the 2010 Breeders Cup Classic - Handicapping [03:49]
On Friday Nov. 5 & Saturday November 6, 2010, many of the world's top horses will come together @ historic Churchill Downs. The main event is usually considered the Classic, run @ 1 & a quarter miles, is worth $5 million to the owners of the winning horse. For many, the star of the show is undoubtedly the 6 yr old mare Zenyatta, who beat the boys last year, and is still undefeated after 19 races. Not only is she a real character, she's smart, and tough. She loves to win, & has endeared herself to many people. I'd love to see her finish her career with a win here, since she is my favourite horse. But I really don't think it's going to happen. As a bettor, I will be backing other horses, & including her in exotics. She'll be coming, but too late to beat all of these. Good luck everyone, & enjoy this historic weekend. Cursive- The End (because I never posted one) [05:12]
I haven't owned this horse in over a year and a half now and I've had this video saved on my hard drive about that long! Sorry, super boring and no effects really but posting it because I have it and clearly I have been MIA lately on the YT front! Anyway, my first horse, got her as she had barely turned 4 and had her through 6. Put a TON of time and training into her. She's now long sense sold, but little blast to the past. Anyway, enjoy, no crit, was all a long time ago but still miss her dearly!
