Pinker Pinker's last win at Caulfield Racecourse - 26 February 2011 [01:43]
Pinker Pinker's last victory at Caulfield was in the BMW Angus Armanasco Stakes, on Saturday, 26th February 2011. Pinker Pinker passed away suddenly at Greg Eurell's Cranbourne stable on Wednesday, 4th April 2012, after suffering a bad reaction to routine treatment. Australian racing has lost one of its best mares following the shock death of the star four-year-old, who won the Cox Plate in 2011. Eurell was readying the daughter of Reset for another trip to Sydney, where she was to run in this Saturday's $400000 Group 1 Queen Of The Turf at Rosehill. Pinker Pinker raced 18 times for six wins, three seconds and two thirds for $2609368 in stakes. Footage courtesy of TVN.

2012-03-31 Turffontein - race 8 [02:04]
Slumdogmillionaire wins the GRADE-1 SA Classic.. The main event of the 12 race program, the SA Classic Grade-1 for 3 year olds over 1800m, saw Team G represented with Slumdogmillionaire and Brooks Club, both drawn out wide at 11 and 12. There were no slip ups at the jump this time for Slumdog and he bounced straight out to take lead and set his own pace throughout. Brooks Club didn't fare as well and he ended up widest of all, mid-field with nowhere to go. Turning for home Slumdogmillionaire once again took a bit of time to get going and halfway down the straight he was under pressure as race favourite Gimmethegreenlight slipped past him. The changeover was short-lived however as Slumdogmillionaire kicked into finishing gear to retake the lead and stay there. Pomodoro flew up at the death and did everything but tag Slumdogmillionaire on the line in a decision that had to go to the judges.. ..and SLUMDOGMILLIONAIRE! by a nose, jubilation for the connections and followers and another Grade-1 under the belt for Team G Racing. Slumdogmillionaire earned his owners Messers J. Sarkis and A. Greyvensteyn a cool R1.25million for the win, recouping his purchase price and surging into profit with a massive future still to come. Brooks Club who raced widest throughout, was unable to produce his trademark acceleration down the straight and finished 3 lengths back in 5th position. His turn will come.

Barbaro|| Champions are never forgotten. [02:14]
Well here is a proper tribute to Barbaro. I thought I might as well make a new tribute, he was a great horse that will never be forgotten. More about Barbaro: Barbaro (April 29, 2003 -- January 29, 2007) was an American thoroughbred who decisively won the 2006 Kentucky Derby, but shattered his leg two weeks later in the 2006 Preakness Stakes, ending his racing career and eventually leading to his death. On May 20, 2006, Barbaro ran in the Preakness Stakes as a heavy favorite, but, after he false-started, he fractured three bones in and around the fetlock of his right hind leg. The injury ruined any chance of a Triple Crown in 2006 and ended his racing career. The next day, he underwent surgery at the New Bolton Center at the University of Pennsylvania for his injuries. In July he developed laminitis in his left rear leg. He underwent five further operations, and his prognosis varied during an exceptionally long stay in the Equine Intensive Care Unit at the New Bolton Center. While his right hind leg eventually healed, a final risky procedure on it proved futile because the colt soon developed further laminitis in both front legs. His veterinarians and owners concluded that he could not be saved, and Barbaro was euthanized on January 29, 2007. He was a third-generation descendant of Mr. Prospector, and as such Barbaro was related to many Triple Crown hopefuls of his time including Big Brown, Afleet Alex, Smarty Jones, Funny Cide and Fusaichi Pegasus.

1975 Grand National (Part 2 of 2) [04:44]
L'Escargot gets his revenge on Red Rum as he becomes only the second horse ever to win both a Gold Cup and a Grand National. Sadly the race is marred by the deaths of Land Lark and Beau Bob. Whilst Red Rum's fans may find this race hard to watch, it must be remembered that L'Escargot was a great horse in his own right who richly deserved this Grand National win. The way he finished he would have made a race of it with Red Rum even if they had been on level weights and Rummy would indeed get his third National win two years later.
