OTTB - Jumping Lofty for the first time [03:43]
Please don't delete this video or the song you tube, I do not claim copyright on the song! Hey everyone, hope you're all well! So as it says in the title, this was my first jump on my new ottb Lofty! Still working out where all the stop and go buttons are, but we will get there! He was lazy to start with, then was a bit too full on, but we found a happy medium towards the end, lol. Lofty comes home and his first ride [03:31]
*Music is not mine* Hey everyone! Finally another video up, it feels like ages since my last one! Lofty came home 2 Sundays ago, and due to us having nowhere to ride we have just been doing some basic groundwork, grooming, getting to know each other etc.. The arena is now back in action so last night I thought I'd jump on and have our first ride since coming home and he was unreal. Had one little spook at the start, but other than that, and being a bit strong he was just ace. The chick in the white top is my bestie, Bonnie who is awesome! Thanks Bon for being there for his first ride and helping out :) The plan is to ease him into full work over the next couple of weeks. We have a heap of things to work on, so stay tuned! Well, those of you who have been following my videos (and my old channel eventerkatie84) will know that our horses are all rescues off the track. We rescue them, rehabilitate them, re-train them, and re-home them. My dear friend Georgie who not only finds these horses, but houses them on her property, asked me to put this video together, and it turned out well so I thought I may as well upload it! All the clips are in chronological order starting with Toby (Our first project) then King, and finally Roger. These horses were all bound for slaughter, and have all turned out to be lovely riding horses, and have even been out competing! We have definitely had our challenges with them but so far it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, not to mention how much we have both learned along the way! We are now both employed int he horse industry and are learning more and more every day which in turn has been a huge benefit to us and the horses. We are looking forward to keeping our ottb rescue going for as long as possible, and I'm looking forward to buying my own acreage to step the ...
