Finger Lakes Finish Line [00:08]
I caught this horse exercising early this morning and thought I'd get a "slow motion" version of a horse crossing the wire. Imagine 3 or 4 horses running full speed past this line....exciting stuff!

Janice Blake-Baeza - Thoroughbred Race Horse Exercising Equipment [05:05]
This video has Thoroughbred Race Horse Jockey Janice Blake-Baeza describing the necessary equipment to exercise a Thoroughbred racing horse as an exercise rider. She is in Barn 39 at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY in Joe Lostritto's tack room in order to show what equipment is needed before a rider is allowed to exercise a Thoroughbred race horse on the track. She also explains how to coordinate an exercise rider's clothing with the stable for which they will be exercising Thoroughbred race horses on the track.

--Face Your Fear-- [01:57]
Hope this is at least sliiiiighhhtly epic in some way because I've spent a bit longer on this than any recent video... The bits with the race commentary are supposed to show what can happen when you aren't afraid to try, when faced with the possibility of failure. 100-1 shots sometimes win (Mon Mome's National). Matt Crawley could easily have pulled up Last Rose of Summer in a low grade race at Mussleburgh after his saddle slipped, and no one would have blamed him. But he kept going and jumped about 6 hurdles bareback before riding out a finish to win. And Kauto Star regained the Cheltenham Gold Cup, when every statistic suggested it couldn't be done. When I ride, whether it's exercising, schooling, or in a race, I'm not afraid of falling, I'm afraid of screwing up and letting down the horse, the trainer, the owner etc...In my experience, the biggest fear of failure comes when you're unbeaten. Once you get that first defeat out of the way the risk of failure seems less, as does it's cost. Anyway...that's what the general idea of this video is about. If you're afraid to have a shot at what you want, you'll never have a chance to get it. All the fallers (both horse, and jockey) were fine. I don't like some of the voicover bits in the first half, but the words seemed to fit, so I suppose it doesn't matter what they sound like. Hope you enjoy it :)
