1987 Dwyer Stakes [03:07]
Gone West, who floundered while trying to provide Woody Stephens with his sixth straight Belmont Stakes winner last month, won back his national prominence yesterday with a 12 1/2-length triumph over Pledge Card and Polish Navy in the $230400 Dwyer Stakes at Belmont Park. Gone West benefited from a drying track that favored front-runners and rail-runners, but was still very impressive and clearly the best horse in the field. Polish Navy outbroke him, but Gone West shot up on the inside to take the lead within the first quarter-mile and the duel was over. Gone West led at every call while posting steady fractions of 23 2/5, 47, 1:10 3/5 and 1:35 3/5. Gone West finished the one and one-eighth miles in the fine time of 1:48 2/ 5 under Eddie Maple and paid $4.20 as the favorite in a field of six. Pledge Card ran down Polish Navy in the final furlong and beat him by a half a length for second. Another eight lengths back was KC's Best Turn, and Jazzing Around and Simply Majestic brought up the rear. The victory was a bright spot in a gray Belmont meeting for Stephens. His Belmont Stakes streak was broken June 6 when Gone West finished sixth, 23 3/4 lengths behind Bet Twice, and the trainer had not won a race since sending out Nudge to an allowance victory that day. The Dwyer was only the third victory of the Belmont meeting for Stephens, the first coming when Gone West won the opening-day Withers Stakes on May 6. ''He looked like a race horse today,'' Stephens said of Gone West ...

Todays horse racing tips, horse racing tips for today [01:44]
horseracingtips.co.cc Are you looking for todays horse racing tips? I can help you with that, but first let me explain why my tipping service will work for you. Did you notice nearly every week yet another "successful punter" claims to have a "system" that exploits loopholes that will make you (supposedly) tons of money quickly and easily? Well, you need to know the truth... They don't work; in fact, it's all a marketing strategy to sell you useless betting products that makes them a little bit richer, while making you a little bit poorer. Think about it, these systems get released all the time, if there was one that REALLY worked, wouldn't everybody know about it, in-fact it would be so popular that even the bookies would know about it and put the horses that the systems picks on favorites odds meaning you got very poor return on your stake! Let me tell you something, you don't need a system, you don't need some magic software, what you need is an Insider! Luckily you've found that man, but I cannot offer this service forever. $95K Black Gold Futurity Div 3 - 2012 [03:05]
The public's heavy favorite Wicked Courage didn't disappoint when he won the $95000 Black Gold Futurity Division 3 by a 3/4 length margin under jockey Cody Jensen. The Texas bred is trained by Luis Villafranco who now has a hat trick of recent Black Gold races.

2003 Breeders' Cup Turf + Post Race [19:28]
Through its first 19 runnings, the Breeders' Cup Turf consistently has produced close finishes. In the first 10 years, the largest margin of victory was half a length. The most decisive winner was Daylami, the 8-5 favorite who won by two lengths four years ago at Gulfstream Park. The 20th Breeders' Cup Turf on Saturday gave tight a whole new meaning. For the first time in the history of any Breeders' Cup race, there was a dead heat for the win when defending champion High Chaparral and 14-1 shot Johar couldn't be separated at the wire. It took three pictures and some 13 minutes before the photo finish sign came down and the dead heat was confirmed. Falbrav, the 7-2 second choice, almost made it a triple dead heat. He was only a head back after having the lead approaching the wire. Watching the race live, many believed High Chaparral had won. Jockey Mick Kinane thought so, especially after former jockey Donna Barton, who was working on horseback for NBC, approached him as if he had. Richard Mulhall, racing manager for the Thoroughbred Corp., which owns Johar, agreed with Kinane. "When I first saw it, I thought we were second," he said. "I didn't think he got up. After I watched the replay over and over and over, then I thought we won it. "When it was taking so long, I was thinking, well, it has to be a dead heat. I'm happy with a dead heat. It's no disgrace to dead heat with High Chaparral. He's an awful good horse." It was the third of four victories on the day for ...

2012 Breeders' Cup contender - Coil on to Sprint after staying perfect at six furlongs [01:23]
Already a Grade I winner over a route of ground last year as a 3-year-old, Coil earned an automatic berth into next month's $1.5 million Breeders' Cup Sprint (Grade I) by rallying late under Martin Garcia to win the $250000 Santa Anita Sprint Championship (Grade I) by a head over stable mate Capital Account. Since moving to Bob Baffert's barn, Coil has won 6-of-10 starts and eclipsed $1 million in career earnings by wining for the third time at the traditional six furlong sprint distance for owners Pegram or Watson or Weitman. The 7-to-1 price on Coil was by far the most generous of his career, which was previously the 9-to-2 his backers received when the Point Given colt made his first start for Baffert while breaking his maiden by over three lengths at Hollywood Park in November of 2010. Looking to move one step closer to defending his Breeders' Cup and Eclipse Award Sprint Championships from a year ago, Amazombie faded to fourth as the 4-to-5 favorite after sitting the perfect trip behind dueling leaders and getting first jump on the closers. The only 3-year-old in the group, Jimmy Creed came up the rail late to secure the show.
