The Australian won it with a daring late-afternoon run and a four-lap average of 226.484 mph. Then Briscoe had to wait, watch and wonder if anyone else could beat it. Canadian James Hinchcliffe nearly did. But after going 227.009 on a warm-up lap, the man who had the No. 1 seed in the pole shootout slowed on each succeeding lap. He led Briscoe through three laps but fell to second, the middle of Row 1, after completing his run with a final lap of 226.137. That gave Hinchcliffe a 226.481 average. 2012 Dixieland Nationals Day 1 (13 Intermediates) [1st Motos] [01:36]
For Saturday's 13 Intermediate, we had 16 riders in my class which means we had a semi. This was my first race as a Intermediate but I raced 6 Intermediate races before and only won 1 of them at Peachtree City. I was really nervous and did not know what to expect, and when I crossed the line 1st, I just fistpumped and yelled "YEAHHHH!!!!" Thank you everybody who watched, and supported me this moto and the semi, sorry the semi is not posted, ran out of memory and had to delete it so we could film the main.
