Tendonitis... :-( I'll Have Another's chance at horse-racing immortality ended when the winner of the Preakness and Kentucky Derby was scratched from the Belmont Stakes after developing tendonitis in his left front leg. The 2012 Preakness Stakes was the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes. The race took place on May 19, 2012, and was televised in the United States on the NBC television network. The post time was 6.20 pm EDT (10:20 pm UTC). I'll Have Another won the second leg of the Triple Crown, narrowly defeating Bodemeister in a last-furlong push. A record crowd of 121309 was in attendance. I'll Have Another became the 33rd horse to win the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes double. The Preakness Stakes is an American flat Thoroughbred horse race held on the third Saturday in May each year at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. It is a Grade I race run over a distance of 9.5 furlongs on dirt. Colts and geldings carry 126 pounds (57 kg); fillies 121 lb (55 kg). It is the second leg of the US Triple Crown, with the Kentucky Derby preceding it and the Belmont Stakes following it. The horse must win all three races to win the Triple Crown. Another awesome day of racing at Hunterstown Speedway for race #2 of the 2012 Burris Money Series! Corey Smith goes for a WILD ride in this video. I had to stop recording to go and help him shut off the engine. The header actually caught on fire shortly after I stopped recording. Thankfully Corey was ok, and didn't even know that it was on fire until someone told him! Congrats to Josh Peck on the win!

Frankel::The World's Greatest Racehorse Returns [01:43]
I OWN NOTHING BUT THE EDITING. *EDIT* Simply superb. Frankel is magic. 10 from 10. Just the greatest. No flat horse has ever got me this excited. Can't wait to see where he goes next! In one week, the highest rated racehorse (or is he joint with BC? whatever, in my eyes Frankel is superior to Black Caviar, controversial I know-dont eat me!) in the world returns in the Lochinge Stakes at Newbury. I for one cannot wait and hopefully he will smash up his rivals once again. There's a couple if glitches in the video, SV wouldn't play it back properly but hopefully they're not too major. Does everyone else think Frankel will be better this season? Anyway, enjoy the video, it's nothing special but I couldn't resist making it as a tribute to the returning superstar ^^ (Now back to revising, exams start on tuesday!)

co owner of Tickity Bleue Peter Gordon chats to Eliza at Cheltenham [01:14]
One of Eliza's friends Peter Gordon is co owner in a small syndicate of 'Tickity Bleue' an exciting prospect for next season trained by Alan King . She was beaten on this ocassion by Glorious Twelfth from the Nicky Henderson yard; but had beaten it on her sole run previously at Newbury. The big tests is always Cheltenham to see if a horse copes with the hill; and also they were unsure about the soft going but she handled it well. The race was a 'bumper' - an introduction to racecourse action for future jumpers but on the flat; also known as a 'National Hunt flat race'. Tickity Bleue was giving weight to Glorious Twelfth (and the rest of the runners) because of the fact she'd won before; but the latter is a 5 year old. The last race of the day on a filthy afternoon; many racegoers had departed and as a result have probably missed two of the new stars of next season...
