Emcee - 2012 Forego Stakes (G1) [01:38]
Emcee gave trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and owner Godolphin Racing their fourth Grade 1 win of the 2012 Saratoga Race Course meet by taking the $500000 Forego by 4 ½ lengths on Saturday. "It's an honor to train for Godolphin and to have such quality horses," said McLaughlin, who earlier in the meet teamed with Godolphin to post Grade 1 scores in the TVG Coaching Club American Oaks and Alabama with Questing and the Travers via dead heat with Alpha. "It makes my job easier, but I have a great team of people behind me, and it's been an unbelievable meet. It's hard to even believe. It will take some time to sink in." Emcee, who was seeking his first Grade 1 in three starts at the level, pressed pacesetter Pacific Ocean in second through a quarter-mile in 22.64 seconds and a half in 45.38. Jersey Town made a bold run along the inside to pass the top two in the run into the stretch before Emcee overtook that rival inside the final furlong and drove clear late. Hamazing Destiny nipped Jersey Town by a neck for second. Off as the 3-2 favorite, Emcee returned $5.10 for a $2 win wager and ran seven furlongs in 1:21.00.
Secretariat - The Meadow Monster [01:27]
My tribute to the mighty Secretariat. In the first two racing clips you can see this horse's big, powerful stride eating up the turf. His jockey, Ron Turcotte, once said that Secretariat was even better on the grass, after he easily won the Man o' War Stakes, and his piston-like action does seem to handle this surface effortlessly. The super slow motion clip of "Big Red" destroying the field is from the Belmont Stakes. Secretariat was bred by the Meadow Farm in Virginia, and was foaled on March 30th, 1970. kentucky derby preakness stakes belmont triple crown ruffian forego marlboro cup horse racing track

Another video of the mighty Secretariat! In the first two racing clips you can clearly see this horse's big, powerful stride eating up the turf. His jockey, Ron Turcotte, once said Secretariat was an even better runner on the grass, after he won the Man o' War Stakes. He also said Secretariat's action was so smooth he didn't always know how fast he was going. The music is from the first movement of Rachmaninoff's Symphony No.1 in D Minor. belmont stakes preakness kentucky super horse derby dirt track turf triple crown ruffian forego sham horses affirmed man war fager

Jackson Bend - 2011 Forego (G1) [01:46]
Jackson Bend bookended his meet in stylish fashion, coming from off the pace to win the 32nd running of the $250000 Grade 1 Forego on Saturday at Saratoga Race Course. Attempting to build upon his victory in the July 23 James Marvin on opening day, Jackson Bend was able to work out a good trip from post position 1, racing in seventh behind fractions of 22.09 and 44.45 seconds set by Hamazing Destiny and favored Sidney's Candy. Jockey Corey Nakatani guided Jackson Bend between horses on the run into the stretch, and the colt closed stoutly to register a 3 ¼-length victory over Jersey Town, who finished a head in front of third-place finisher Aikenite. Jackson Bend, who returned $8.90 for a $2 win wager as the 3-1 second choice, completed the seven furlongs in 1:22.08.
