Follow us @EquiSight and @SagamoreRacing Tiger Walk is set to run in the $400000 Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack in New York on March 3rd, 2012. The Gotham is run at a distance of 1-1/16th miles and is a prep race for the Wood Memorial and the Kentucky Derby. The three year old colt handles the five furlong workout beautifully and even tries to run off under regular jockey Ignacio Karamanos (explaining the head bobbing of the camera). Tiger Walk (KY) is a dark bay colt, foaled April 20, 2009 and is by Tale of the Cat out of Majestic Trail, by Kris S. Connections as of last start: Jockey: Horacio Karamanos Trainer: Ignacio Correas, IV Owner: Sagamore Farm Breeder: River Bend Farm, Inc. Sagamore Farm is owned by Kevin Plank, who is the founder and CEO of Under Armour.

2003 Gotham at Aqueduct: Alysweep [03:59]
The highlight of Alysweep's career was a 4 1/4-length victory in the 2003 Grade 3 Gotham Stakes on the inner track at Aqueduct Racetrack with Richard Migliore aboard for trainer Pat Reynolds. Earlier that winter, the son of End Sweep won the Fred "Cappy" Capossela Stakes sprinting on the inner track. It was the third Gotham victory for Migliore, a mainstay of the Big A. Unfortunately, I don't have John Imbriale's original call of the race.
