Phar Lap was bred and born in Seadown near Washdyke in Timaru New Zealand and the Timaru racecourse was named after the wonder horse. This video looks at the historic buildings on Phar Lap raceway and tha bronze statue of Phar Lap in full stride under the reins of his Jockey Jim Pike. This is Part 1 of series of videos on Phar Lap recorded by Timaru Tourist Promotions Ltd and are being shown for the first time before being placed in the inspirational video library of tourism promoter Ron E Bishop

I'm pretty sure no-one else has used this for a horse related video. I'm not going to tell you where it's from because that would probably ruin it, but if you want to find out then you can or type it into google/ you might already know. I used these clips cos I thought more people could relate to them than if I had used racing clips which would have been more relevant to me. Hope you enjoy it, and it's something slightly different from my normal (although I know loads of people do quote videos). :) I own all clips (please don't take), but not the audio.

***PLEASE READ THIS FIRST** ILL NO IF YOU HAVEN'T This has to be my most Inspirational video yet.. it may not be good but it took me hours of planning and gathering clips and the editing so it goes with the music as much as possible.. As for the Music please don't ask what it is called i mnot giving it out it is my favorite peice of music lots of you should recognise it but it took me ages to find and i really love it so im not giving it out to anyone.
