As a weanling, he was listed as failing to meet his reserve on a bid of $120000 at the 1997 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. He was consigned by Cantium Bloodstock, agent, to the Fasig-Tipton yearling sale in Saratoga, where he was purchased by Robert Waxman for $220000.
