Well, what can I say. I simply adore this video. Ive been meaning to construct a tribute for my beloved Emerald Downs for a while now, and here it is. I think it accurately depicts our struggle in a small racing community, but also our strength and perseverance in the grand sport of kings. I hope you guys enjoy. Just before the first race at Woodbine on Saturday April 24 2010. The jockeys show very little emotion even though horse racing is the so called sport of kings. Number 2 placed third, not bad for his very first race....bred by Eugene Melnyk.. The unwritten rule for jockeys is keep the weight off at all costs or the trainers cant use you..
