Kauto Star & Denman :|| What Legends Are Made Of [02:53]

Kauto Star and Denman. Two truly magnificent horses of National hunt racing. Anyone who knows racing loves these horses. There are Kauto fans and Denman fans (I have to confess I'm one of those xD) But they are really both just exceptional horses. Why do we have to compare them? Kauto, the flashy french bred, an example of equine brilliance, with an amazing turn of foot and usually flawless jumping. He has won 14 grade ones, including four King George's and two Gold cups. His most recent season has been tough, after falling in the 2010 gold cup, losing his king George crown and being pulled up at Punchestown (after a valiant third in the 2011 gold cup). Many have called for him to be retired. He is 11 years old. I'd hate to see him go downhill, or worse, injure himself, but my opinion is give him one more race,as he may bounce back after the Summer. He doesn't owe us anything but connections will have his best interests at heart whatever they choose and doesn't he deserve one more chance? Denman, the powerful irish bred, a real slogger blessed with extraordinary stamina, he can grind his opponents into the ground.
