Say hello to Little John Paddocks latest edition; Lottie! [01:30]
Hehe, yep this is the big surprise. Say hello to Lottie everyone! She arrived on Staurday 21st April and is the second foal to be born at Little John Paddocks. Lottie's dam, Freckles (the grey mare) was bought to be a new riding horse at LJP. And, it wasn't until a couple weeks after that she was discovered to have been pregnant! Already she'd been used in lessons and taken out on hacks! Although, this hasn't effected Lottie in the slightest. Freckles is a very proud mummy and Lottie is a very lucky filly! :D After having discovered Freckles to be pregnant, Sue (the stable owner) rang up the previous owners to complain. They previous owners of Freckles claimed to have not known about the mare's pregnancy at all. But, come on, how could you not know?! You wouldn't put a mare in the same field near a stallion would you? Unless you wanted a foal of course. We currently do not know what Lottie's sire looked like so it was a mystery on what colour she'd be when she came out. This event can relate to a previous happening back in 2010 with the piebald mare, Bailey. Bailey was discovered to have been pregnant a couple weeks at being at LJP. I just want to get some things straight: at Little John Paddocks there are only mares and geldings. NO STALLIONS! So its impossible for one of our horses to breed, OK? Good. Anyway, Bailey gave birth to a piebald colt named Beaumont (Beau for short) mid 2011 and was sold to a loving home where he'll be looked after for his whole life. The ...

This is our song, and this one's for you ♥ [03:07]
So I went riding yesterday and came out with some ok clips. Yes, before you ask I'm stil riding Amazonic. I'm not gonna let one little fall knock my confidence, I've been riding for too long to let that happen. Amo was being a total star until we came to the last fence of our jumping course. Once again, she refused. I wasn't happy as I'd thought she'd have got over it by now. The jump was around 2ft maybe? Yet she still refused. My instructor lowered it (not for my benefit, but for the horse's - which is the most important thing) and she went over it smoothly. I'm sure she has a slight fear about big fences but I'm not exactly sure why. But, oh well! Nevermind, it was still a great lesson. I actually got told to get into a "jockey position" which is basically just a jumping position without the jump, hehe. First in trot, then in canter. Amo was such a happy pony after her extended canter. Being an ex-race horse who can blame her? I bet she misses her racing days, eh? We've also had a great and exciting surprise come to us on the 21st of April. Check out the "Little John Paddock's latest edition" video to find out! :D

update!! some clips are crap yeah, but HDDD it!!! i made this yesterday, in the meantime i got new clips. we're working a lot of flatwork, because we both suck at it. my trainer had me put the dressage whip on my back... as u see. we're making some serious progress my lesson today we got him even better at the flatwork. we're really learning a lot about each other. later in our lesson we took him outside to the jumping arena. we know he can jump and my trainer knows im getting bored of all the flatwork. she put the jump down so he can just get to see it. he took off and started galloping away from it, not naughty, but excited! so gonna jump him more. i got him to be really good about the jump at the end. we're really getting along well. UPCOMING: -eventing seminar, 4/21/12 -Saddle Club Show, 4/28/12 -Cross Country schooling, 5/19-20/12 all i know of right now... let you know if something comes up. looking forward to the seminar tomorrow Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
