Looking for a part time leaser for lovely mare for 2-4 days per week (one will be a lesson day). Beverley is available immediately. Looking for a show minded rider. Beverley has potential+. Beverley is a 6 y/o TB. She is a big boned girl, built more like a WB. Overall she is a big sweetheart and has a great personality. She is green, however she is sane, but due to her size and that she is still learning the ropes herself I would like a teenager or young adult who is confident in their abilities as well as looking to be in a consistent lesson program with coach of my approval, depending on your abilities this may be negotiable. If beginner rider I would like leaser to be in regular lessons with coach on site. Beverley is very honest and willing to please, she really wants to make her rider happy. She is not flighty or hot. W/T/C on lunge, W/T/C under saddle. Goes on lunge line or free lunging. Has been started over small fences, she pops right over no hesitation. Stands for vet/farrier and to groom/tack up. Quick learner. She is kept UTD on everything. Very much a "people horse", loves attention. Sane enough for my green to horses boyfriend to ride on his own at a trot, as well as double bareback. Say hello to Little John Paddocks latest edition; Lottie! [01:30]
Hehe, yep this is the big surprise. Say hello to Lottie everyone! She arrived on Staurday 21st April and is the second foal to be born at Little John Paddocks. Lottie's dam, Freckles (the grey mare) was bought to be a new riding horse at LJP. And, it wasn't until a couple weeks after that she was discovered to have been pregnant! Already she'd been used in lessons and taken out on hacks! Although, this hasn't effected Lottie in the slightest. Freckles is a very proud mummy and Lottie is a very lucky filly! :D After having discovered Freckles to be pregnant, Sue (the stable owner) rang up the previous owners to complain. They previous owners of Freckles claimed to have not known about the mare's pregnancy at all. But, come on, how could you not know?! You wouldn't put a mare in the same field near a stallion would you? Unless you wanted a foal of course. We currently do not know what Lottie's sire looked like so it was a mystery on what colour she'd be when she came out. This event can relate to a previous happening back in 2010 with the piebald mare, Bailey. Bailey was discovered to have been pregnant a couple weeks at being at LJP. I just want to get some things straight: at Little John Paddocks there are only mares and geldings. NO STALLIONS! So its impossible for one of our horses to breed, OK? Good. Anyway, Bailey gave birth to a piebald colt named Beaumont (Beau for short) mid 2011 and was sold to a loving home where he'll be looked after for his whole life. The ...
