OTB TV introduces JonesCAM HD JockeyCAM with Angel Cordero and Michael Jones [32:07]
This is a copy of the OTB (Off Track Betting) interview of Angel Cordero and Michael Jones at Saratoga Raceway 2011. The interview was requested by OTB for the specific purpose of introducing JonesCAM's HD JockeyCAM and discusses the many applications the HD camera system has to offer the horse racing industry. First tested in 2005 on the famous Oklahoma track at Saratoga Raceway by Michael Jones for trainer's applications in a wearable self contained model and later that same summer in a wireless design, the product quickly caught the attention of trainers, owners, track managers and jockeys alike. Angel Cordero was one of those jockeys that quickly recognized the potential of the products and became a major influence in its development and exposure. The product though widely accepted back in 2005 was too large to be safe. Fast forward to 2010 and not only did the product get smaller, much smaller, 3 ounces to be exact but it answered all the safety concerns and the video quality was greatly improved. Testing was ramped up and world renown jockeys like Angel and Gary Stevens made suggestions JonesCAM used in 2011 for its introduction of the safety HD JockeyCAM made, the JonesCAM HD JockeyCAM. World famous jockeys that have tested and approved for more than training needs but also race day productions now include Johnny Velázquez and Javier Castellano.
