Dawn Run- The 1984 Champion Hurdle (Cheltenham) [01:03]
Dawn Run (1978--1986) was a Thoroughbred racehorse (Deep Run - Twilight Slave) who was the most successful racemare in the history of National Hunt racing. She won the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham racing festival in 1984 and the Cheltenham Gold Cup over fences at the festival in 1986. Dawn Run was the only racehorse to complete the Champion Hurdle - Gold Cup double. She was one of only two mares who won the Champion Hurdle, and of only four who have won the Cheltenham Gold Cup. She was also the only horse ever to complete the English, Irish and French Champion Hurdle treble. Here she is winning the 1984 Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Tragic, Horrific Spill at Charles Town Race Track. [00:27]
8th race at Charles Town Race Track on Feb. 29, 2012. A horrific spill that happened after the leader, Sharp Leader, broke down and started a tragic chain reaction that saw the remaining seven fillies and mares fall, everyone losing their jockey. Three jockeys were sent to the Hospital. The #3 filly, Miss Fifty, was the only one that did cross the finish line with her jockey, she did require stiches to her front legs and will be sore, but ok. While watching the whole replay, I did see five other's running without their jockey's. Prayers for all involved in this tragic race.

READ DESCRIPTION PLEASE! =) I do not own the audio, nor do I claim to. this is a non-profit video. Hi, I am looking for a part leaser for my mare. Beverley is 5 years old, coming 6 in March, she stands at roughly 17.2hh. I am looking for an advanced/confident beginner to advance with Beverley and to come ride 2 days a week as well as taking regular lessons with coach on site. Beverley is 5 so she is still green, that being said she is sane. She is willing to please and honest. She is in consistent work, goes W/T/C on lunge, W/T/C under saddle both directions - she has actually just begun cantering under saddle as of the first week of January and it is coming along beautifully on both leads. Has been started over small fences and is very honest, this mare tries hard! I plan on taking Beverley to a few schooling shows once we hit the summer months, I am looking forward to getting this mares show career going. Leaser does not need to be focused on showing, pleasure is fine too, this girl just needs to be worked as I have time constraints with school =) She is UTD on everything, stands for vet/farrier and to groom/tack up. She is located at a wonderful facility in the Abbotsford/Matsqui area so not looking to move her. Facility has large indoor and outdoor, individual tack lockers, hot/cold wash bay, large isle ways or tack up in 14x14 stall. Close to trails as well. Facility hosts schooling shows so leaser would be able to enter those, or have the option to trailer out to ...
