My tribute to the mighty Secretariat. In the first two racing clips you can see this horse's big, powerful stride eating up the turf. His jockey, Ron Turcotte, once said that Secretariat was even better on the grass, after he easily won the Man o' War Stakes, and his piston-like action does seem to handle this surface effortlessly. The super slow motion clip of "Big Red" destroying the field is from the Belmont Stakes. The mighty front-running Queenslander was the dominant horse in an era of champions, winning 26 races from 83 starts, including six Group 1 races, and a further five which now carry Group 1 status. He passed away at the ripe old age of 28.
