So I went riding yesterday and came out with some ok clips. Yes, before you ask I'm stil riding Amazonic. I'm not gonna let one little fall knock my confidence, I've been riding for too long to let that happen. Amo was being a total star until we came to the last fence of our jumping course. Once again, she refused. I wasn't happy as I'd thought she'd have got over it by now. The jump was around 2ft maybe? Yet she still refused. My instructor lowered it (not for my benefit, but for the horse's - which is the most important thing) and she went over it smoothly. I'm sure she has a slight fear about big fences but I'm not exactly sure why. But, oh well! Nevermind, it was still a great lesson. I actually got told to get into a "jockey position" which is basically just a jumping position without the jump, hehe. First in trot, then in canter. Amo was such a happy pony after her extended canter. Being an ex-race horse who can blame her? I bet she misses her racing days, eh? Encosta De Lago x Miss Helga full brother, LIBERATOR, 2nd in GP3 Queen Mother Cup [06:18]
The full brother to our Encosta De Lago - Miss Helga Filly, Liberator, is now a Stakes performed horse after finishing 2nd in the Queen Memorial Mother in Hong Kong over night. This horse looks a very promising type and is continuing to progress through the grades. It won't be long until we see him a stakes winner in Hong Kong!

co owner of Tickity Bleue Peter Gordon chats to Eliza at Cheltenham [01:14]
One of Eliza's friends Peter Gordon is co owner in a small syndicate of 'Tickity Bleue' an exciting prospect for next season trained by Alan King . She was beaten on this ocassion by Glorious Twelfth from the Nicky Henderson yard; but had beaten it on her sole run previously at Newbury. The big tests is always Cheltenham to see if a horse copes with the hill; and also they were unsure about the soft going but she handled it well. The race was a 'bumper' - an introduction to racecourse action for future jumpers but on the flat; also known as a 'National Hunt flat race'. Tickity Bleue was giving weight to Glorious Twelfth (and the rest of the runners) because of the fact she'd won before; but the latter is a 5 year old. The last race of the day on a filthy afternoon; many racegoers had departed and as a result have probably missed two of the new stars of next season...
