The Horse of the Meet honors at Dover Downs for the 2011-2012 meet went to Nova Artist. The 5 year old pacer is owned by Eddie & Kathy Davis. He had 20 starts at the meet with 5 wins, three seconds and 4 thirds. Nova Artist is trained by Eddie and Kathy's son Martin and another son Allan was the driver of this top sidewheeler who took a lifetime best of 1:49.3 at this Dover Downs meet.

GIST Fundraiser (Spring 2012) [05:41]
In March 2012 Dover Downs hosted a fund raiser to help people who suffer from GIST, a rare type of cancer. Participants walked over the Dover Downs five-eighths mile oval with cancer survivor Bob Kinsey leading the way! Over $10000 was raised on this fabulous day!
