April Showers Cannock Chase Monkey Trail Lower Cliff Santa Cruz v10 Riding cannock chase inbetween april showers, on the day it would pour it down with rain, dry out and then instantly pour it down with rain again! Conditions werent as bad as usual wet conditions in the uk as it was a warmish day and the rain was drying before the ground had chance to soak in the moisture. Bikes on the day were a santa cruz v10 and a morewood kalula. I ride very slowly in the videos due to the fact that i am awaiting a shoulder operation to stop my arm dislocating! ReadyGetsGold finally showed up and persevered to get us a 3rd in the 7th race today at The Big A! The 1 hole turned out to be the right hole for her as she recovered from an awkward break and was able to maintain position on the rail for the whole trip around the inner track. Tom thought she may have been a bit timid when finally pinned on the rail in deep stretch but she continued her drive to get us 3rd and gallop out past the winner. This race was a great improvement over the last one and should set us up for a better result next time. Tom is confident that we are finally on the right track and he was happy to see her in a spirited drive right until the end of the race moving forward toward the finish line. She only got beat a length and a bit for all of it so we are in the right spot. He also said a little moisture in the track would have helped us and we are bound to get that in the weeks to come. All in all, a very good effort on the part of RGG. With the bigger purses coming after the 1st of the year we are sitting in a very good spot with her right now. GO BABY GO!!!
